I don’t know Sarah Sudhoff, but I understand her work. In that sense, I know something about her. I also believe I understand life a bit more than before I saw her work. I post this as a way to share what she has done as a photographer in hopes that it will have a profound effect on your life too.

That is what I believe to be the power of the photographic image. It is to show us something so that we can better understand what this thing called life is all about.

To be honest, I just found out about her work through a recent interview about Andy Adams and Flak Photo, which was presented by WPR (Wisconsin Public Radio).

The topic of her work, at least the topic of this work that was discussed, is for most of us quite uncomfortable. However, for me, At the Hour of Our Death, says as much about life as it does about the end of it. When we see her work, we might reconsider what we think of life itself.

Rather than discuss the work here, I will simply point you to it.
