Add some brushes to that digital photo! And maybe a bit of animation too!

Digital imaging has come a long way in recent times and everyone is looking for a unique solution to make their images more personal. What could be more appropriate than adding your own hand. With the help of an art tablet, a paint program might be just the answer.

Studio Artist is at the top of my list of digital paint programs. This wonderful package originally designed for the Mac, is now available for the PC. This has to be one of the fastest programs out there. Brushes are unique, easily altered and immediate.

While there are those who insist on creating images using straight photographic techniques, there are others who dare to push the envelope with new and exciting capabilities offered by the computer. Much of my own work is very photographic in appearance. However, I also dabble in image manipulation, experimentation and video. Studio Artist allows me to expand my imaging, by opening new doors for creative possibility. Personally, I love to play with both the straight and the manipulated ways of working.

You’ll be surprised to see what you can do to alter and enhance photographic images. Studio artist can do amazing things with animation as well. Imagine a painting that moves. Rotoscoping is a cinch with this program.

Studio artist is a graphics synthesizer that is capable of digital painting, video processing, photo manipulation, image processing, auto rotoscoping, video effects, photo mosaic, morphing, warping, image evolution, slit scan, and paint animation. The possibilities seem endless.

I use Studio Artist in conjunction with Photoshop, Lightroom and many other programs for creating unique photographs, imaging effects, animation and experimental work.

While I use a number of painting programs, I find Studio Artist unique in the way it functions and in what it offers for making creative imagery. It is an amazing and powerful program with tons of features.
