It helps me to see my world in new ways. It helps me to focus my photography on subjects which are important. Concern about my world is my motivation for making images.

Think of all the things we throw into the air, the land and the sea. Here is an eye-opening look at some of what we’ve done to the environment we live in. Carelessness is a subject for photographic discussion. Concern is a possible way to turn things around.
What scares me most about this documentary is that we don’t need to go to Midway to see this happening to our world. However, I have been to Midway and to be honest, it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The fact that this remote island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean has succumbed to our garbage is shameful to say the least. We are all guilty for our ignorance and the neglect of our home. Paradise used to be the whole Earth. We either do something to make the changes we must make to restore the planet or we will all perish. – John
