In the area of photography, it is a term used to describe the viewer’s preferences and perhaps the maker’s ego. I find it is often used to describe a camera image that someone seems to simply like. There is a huge difference between…and åwesome.

While the subject, light and composition are important, it is the deliberate – yet somewhat serendipitous connection between the elements that produce the image, sets the stage, and precipitates meaning.……photography

Abstraction is meant to provoke the viewer. It is meant to spark the imagination, it begs for an answer, it compels contemplation.

Every part of a photograph should contribute to the understanding of the whole image.

It is the why and what we seek to find as photographers. As photographers we are visual poets. We write poems with our vision. Our subjects the actors we use to tell our story.
