Is photography an elitist activity? Upper middle class? Does it need to be done with the best cameras and the best lenses?

In a recent post to a popular Facebook photography group asked a question about whether or not economic status should be considered

Seems to me that Walker Evans was saying that there are other………………the chances are you will never rise above the average photo-buff.

Abstraction is meant to provoke the viewer. It is meant to spark the imagination, it begs for an answer, it compels contemplation.

Like it or not, each image you create reveals a little more of what you think, what you see and who you are.
