As an art form, the photographic image is meant to make us think.

Life has changed photography and art. It always has. Art is all about our lives and our existence. It is a look at where we are as humans in any period of time we are in.

But there is another moment that is also decisive… In that regard, it is essential that both parties are looking for the image to speak to them …photographic… vision of that encounter with time.

Photographic minimalism is supposed to enlighten. Abstraction for the sake of abstraction is not the point. Its purpose is to trigger discovery.

I am a photographer that loves to experiment. Pinhole photography is a great way to learn about light. It is a crazy tool for making some pretty unique imagery that would be impossible to create with a lensed camera.

Between now and April 24th, I’ll be getting ready to make and use a pinhole camera. I’ll also be posing a few posts about pinhole and pinhole related photography.

A photograph is a kind of language. It is supposed to help us see the world. It should be used to add to what we know.
